- Dr.Peter Bakonyi has been the driving force behind the Information
- Infrastructure project of Hungary, started in the mid eighties. In the
- framework of this project the first computer communication
- infrastructure for Hungary was developed. Peter Bakonyi played an
- important role in the opening and in the integration to the western
- networking infrastructure and organizations. He is a manager who
- understand the needs of changes in a changing world. Peter Bakonyi is
- vice-president of the Hungarnet, the Hungarian national networking
- organisation. He played an important role in the success of the
- Central and East European session of the INET'92 conference in Kobe.
